Senator Frances Black serves on the Industrial and Commercial panel in the Seanad. She grew up on Charlemont Street in Dublin. In 2009, she founded the RISE Foundation which supports family members who have a loved one with an alcohol, drug or gambling problem. This work and collaboration with other community and charitable organisations spurred her into running for, and winning election to the Seanad.
One of Ireland’s most popular singers, she continues to tour and perform around the world.
